Basic Fixes:

Fix 1: Enable Clock App Notifications

In most cases, silenced notifications from the Clock app can cause the alarm not to ring. When this happens, open the notification settings for the Clock app and ensure all notifications are enabled on your Android phone. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Long-press the Clock app and tap on the i icon. Here, tap on Notifications.

Step 2: On this page, ensure all notification toggles are enabled.

Tap on App Info Tap on Notifications Check notification permissions

Fix 2: Disable Flip to Shhh in Pixel Phones

Google Pixel phones have a Flip to Shhh feature that activates Do Not Disturb. So, when it is enabled, flipping your phone upside down will turn on DND and eventually silence the alarm. To stop that, disable Flip to Shhh on your Pixel phone. Here’s how.

Step 1: Open Settings > tap on Notifications > Do Not Disturb.

Tap Notifications Tap Do Not Disturb

Step 2: Then, tap on Schedules. From the options, tap on Flip to Shhh and turn the toggle off.

Tap Schedules Tap on Flip to Shhh Turn off the toggle

Fix 3: Disable DND

While Do Not Disturb (DND) is a useful feature in smartphones, it can cause your alarms to go silent. In this case, turn off DND on your Android device and see if your alarms are working as expected. Follow the below steps to do it.

Step 1: Pull down from the top of the screen twice to open the full Quick Settings panel.

Step 2: Scroll through the options and tap on the Do not disturb tile to turn it off.

Pull down from the <a href=top of the page " width="1088" height="2348" /> Disable DND

Fix 4: Clear Clock App Cache and Data

Clearing the Clock app’s cache and data can help you remove corrupted cache or data files, preventing the app’s alarms from ringing. Once you do this, it might delete all previous alarms and other app settings. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Long-press the Clock app and tap on the i icon. From the options, tap on Storage and Cache.

Step 2: First, tap on Clear cache. Then, tap on Clear storage. When prompted, confirm the action.

Tap on App Info Open Storage and Cache settings 1 Tap on Clear Cache 12

Fix 5: Reset App Preferences

If you still have issues getting the alarm to ring, use the reset app preferences option. This will not delete personal data but will reset all app settings on your phone to default. This can delete the setting, causing your alarms to fail. Follow the below steps to do it.

Step 1: Open Settings and tap on Apps. At the top-right corner, tap on the three-dot icon.

Step 2: Then, tap on Reset app preferences. When prompted, tap on Reset to confirm.

Tap on Apps Tap on Reset app preferences Tap on Reset

Wait for the reset process to finish. Then, open the Clock app and set a fresh alarm to see if it works at the set time on your Android phone.
